Thread: Need info about N400 processing time in Newark, NJ

  1. #1
    Hello,
I would like to know if any one of you had to go Newark, NJ office for N400?
I am planning to do so very soon, but have problems with time period. I am afraid because I am planning to travel abroad in summer. So after I submit my application IRS could call me for interview and I am not here.
I really do not want to be in this situation. Therefore if you could advise me what to do? If Newark office is fast with processing my papers I do not want to waste my time of waiting till the end of summer when I will be back.
    Thanks all

It depends where you are submitting your application. Cherry Hill NJ is now processing N-400 cases submitted on or before June 02, 2005. Newark - July 15, 2005; New York - August 5, 2005.

It seems you may be able to apply before you go. If you wait until the end of summer, your wait will be longer to get your citizenship.

    Thanks.
Yes, I said that Newark, Nj is the one I am interested in. So, it seems nobody went there with the same reason. And I can not know how much actually it will take them to respond on my application submition.
I am just out of ideas.
    Thanks anyway
