    if they require you to show up for an interview, bring with you all the paperwork they gave you ( case dismissal). they will definitely bring you in for an interview since you do have a PRIOR case in court, so it will definitely show up in your background, and you will be given a chance to explain... make sure you do show up for the interview and bring all necessary papers clearing you or all charges.

    As for you naturalization, i think it will still be 3 years unless there is something else that they will find in your BG, im sure they will notify you or better yet dont be complacent since they dont keep their case online status up to date, call their NCSC hotline as often as you can

    A person gets the opportunity to immigrate to America...and almost immediately goes on a shoplifting spree!!!

    Sounds to me like the kind of person that we DON'T want in America.

    I hope and expect that USCIS will not look favorably on an arrest for shoplifting.
