I am out of status, but I own a house and some other property in US. If I am deported, will I lose my property? Can the bank foreclose me if I am out of the country?

Hey, If you are 3 months behind (for any kind of reason) the lender(bank ) will foreclose on you, but usually if you are in deportation proced. you will have time to sell in a hurry.good luck

You won't lose your property if you are deported. All you have to worry about is making sure you pay your mortgage and whatever responsibilities you have associated with property ownership.

Considering your status, if you're going out of status, get yourself whatever means necessary to prevent it from happening! Also, on the same light, make sure you have a solid backup plan such as delegating someone you know and trust to take care of your properties should you get into any immigration problems! Good luck!

You never know what could happen, but in the worst case you can sell it before actually being issued a Deportation Order (it takes a while for the courts to finally order you deported)
