Thread: Buying An Institute

  1. #1
    Respected Readers

We are the Authorized representative of an US Educational Institute in INDIA from the last two years, now we have an offer to buy that running Institute in NY.

In this regard we want to know, Can an Indian Individual or Company is Eligible to Invest/Buy that NEW YORK based institute?

Also, which type of Visa we shall apply (B1/B2 or else) to visit US for the finalization of the Deal?

PLEASE ADVICE, HOPE TO HEAR FROM YOU SOON.

    Regards,
    Willy

I think the appropriate visa to apply for is an investor's visa, go to wwww.uscis.gov and look up under visas to find the correct type of visa for you.

We have Search uscis.gov also, But cant find the right Info, We are confuse that in what catg we apply B1-B2 or E1-E2, Coz For Investor You need E1-E2, And yr country must have the treaty with US. So in that case INDIA do not have the Investor treaty with US.

Then you have to go to the US embassy and explain what you want to do and how long you want to stay and they will tell you the appropriate visa to apply for, just don't apply for any type of visa because if you do apply for a wrong visa and you come here to do business then Immigration would consider it a fraud be careful.
