Thread: f-1 and h-1

I know someone that is here for school. He has 1-2 years left I think. He would like for wife and disabled child to come here but his wife would need to work. She teaches english as a second language in their home country. Can she get an h-1? Would that affect his f-1?

Pasha, thanks, I seem to know several people who have "situations" right now. He is really intent on bringing his family here because they hate being separated and his child is not getting the help that she needs there at all.

Grints always ask for benefits but do not give nothing in return. After coming here they will ask for H1b and Green card !!!

Actually, this f-1 is totally dedicated to returning to home country and working with agricultural association to improve things there. It is his reason for coming to school here, they are just tired of being separated. I don't blame him.

Yep, specialty teacher can get H1 also. I have met a french teacher in the local private high school who's working on H1. The wife and children can come using F2 visa and then it'll be up to them to find a company to sponsor the H1.
