    hi there, this is my first post and i am looking for some advice plz..... I am scottish and work here (scotland) as a registered nurse, i have met an american guy and we are planning on getting married. i am just back from the states and we went to the immigration offices in buffalo, i have applied to nursing agencys back here for a nursing job in the states but ths could take up to a year or more... is there a quicker way to do this hope u can help me ta ...

    my advice is to go ahead and get married and wait in your country til the i130 is process.it would be 3months tops and everything will process quicker.thats if you dont have any immigration issues..trust me you could file the i130 in the us and once that is approve you would go to your consulate for the interview and your out once the marriage is in good faith.also it would save you a lot of money because REGAURDING you dont have any IMMIGRATION issuses the i130 would be all you need..

    If "american guy" means he is US citizen, he can petition for your as a fiance. It takes 4 - 6 months to get visa, and after you arrive to the US, you have 90 days to get married.
