Thread: How can I correct this? Please help

  1. #1
How can I correct the dates wrongly entered in form I-130 and G-325A after 2 months of form submission?

I basically filled up wrong dates on I-130 and G-325A.

    Started Dating June 2003
    Got Engaged Dec. 21st '03
    Got Married April 18th '04
Started Living Together April 18th '04
    Filed for papers April 29th'04

(I-130) Started living together Wrong Date filled. January 2004
(G-325A) Last residence Since 5 years January 2004

Filled the forms by ourselves and filed all the forms (140, 485, 130, 325A, 693) and forgot the AR-11. But the officer who took my papers told us about the AR11 form and changed my address. The officer was nice in the beginning but in the end from his behavior we could notice that there's something wrong.

Well anyways we didn't give it much weight and forgot about it then. Now when we talked to our friends they scared us and we went thru all our paperwork to find (after 2 months) why did the officer feel suspicious.

And we found that we filled a date on forms I-130 and G-325A wrong.
G-325A * APPLICANT'S RESIDENCE LAST FIVE YEARS. LIST PRESENT ADDRESS FIRST
    FROM: TO:
    MONTH YEAR MONTH YEAR

I-130-> 21. If filing for your husband/wife, give last address at which you lived together.
(Include street, city, province, if any, and country):
    From: To:
    (Month) (Year) (Month) (Year)

In these forms we accidentally filled in January 2004 instead of April 2004. it was an honest mistake.
1)How can we correct this mistake?
2)Should I care or should I just let it be but then what would be my defense if they ask me to show, since we both lived in different towns before marriage but dated continuously. She would come over to my place(more often) and sometimes I would go to her place.

Please any advise in this regard will be helpful.

    thanks

Im guessing if they catch it, it will trigger an RFE, which they will notify you and ask you to resubmit them.
