Thread: I NEED TO GIVE UP MY RESIDENCE AND START OVER AGAIN

  1. #1
Hi my first time here, I hope to get some advice

I have been married for almost one and a half year, I'm a permanent resident under the conditional greencard, but my wife played very dirty and left me for another man, at this point I have many proofs like pictures and some others, I know every single proof I need to continue with the process bymyself but the relationship is so bad between us that im sure i wont get any affidavit from parents or friends of her, and in the other hand i do not wanna get anything from her cause i was badly hurt.
Im a Civil engineer, with a great job in DC, things are great in my office,
I want to give up the residence and start the inmigration process over again, this time through my job, I know i have to apply to the labrors department office and get approbed there, ad then send the forms and fees again to the USCIS, my questions are.

I'll be able to work legally until july 21th 2008.
In case I got all paperwork approved for the labors department, the next step will be to send the forms to USCIS, but before I know Ill have to give up the residence, I can not apply for a green card or residence if I have one already, so how would I be able to work without the greencard if I give up to that??? I know how long It can tke to get a permission to work
    so that is my concern.
Am I right, give me some advice

I don't know anything about the GC via employment but perhaps you should consider getting a divorce asap and filing a waiver to the I-751 which under normal circumstances has to be filed jointly..........consult a lawyer on this tricky issue
