Thread: Immigration re-entry form!

  1. #1
My Mom is a legal immigrant, will she have to get a re-entry form when she goes back to her home country. How long does it take for the re-entry forms if she has to. What I've been told by my family is that if you are going less than 6 months, you don't need a re-entry form, but I'm trying to make sure.

    -LMK, Thanks.

if "legal immigrant" means your mother is a permanent resident (has green card), for a trip of less than 6 months (or even a year) she doesn't need a re-entry permit.

I heard that in 2007 everyone who is not naturalize or a citizen will need a re-entry form permits to enter back to U.S. Is that true?

Hating what? I just was making a point that one needs no re-entry permit in 2007 unless one is out of USA for longer period of time than allowed.
