    you can file assylum within one year of your arrival in US. Incase of filling after a year you have more chances of denial.

    Well, nop really...

    There is a lot of Asslyum information on the INS webpage...
    You CAN apply for assylum after 1 year... but, you will need to prove to INS that you was not aware of assylum, or u was not able to find the information required for your case.

    Anyway, dont do this by your self, a Lawyer can be the best option for you at this point
