Canada will start accepting some PhD students as part of a class of immigrants with experience in the country, the government said Wednesday.

Gary Goodyear, minister of state for science and technology, announced the government is expanding the Canadian experience class to include PhD students in certain streams, noting the country lacks people with expertise in science, technology, engineering and math. Read more here

Supporters of Dream Act Referendum Intervene in Lawsuit
ANNAPOLIS - An Anne Arundel County Court has ruled that MDPetitions.com can intervene in a lawsuit between proponents of the recently passed Maryland DREAM Act and the Maryland State Board of Elections. Does this mean the BoardWizard wants to end immigration by the uneducated? No more chain migration of illiterate rice farmers and stoop laborers?

No it means that Canada will move ahead of the USA in having highly qualified and skilled people that industry needs to keep it ahead of the competition.

If NumbersUSA and FAIRUS.org have their way, the USA will go retrograde since it doesn't have enough homegrown talent. Smart move Canada.

As usual, No Brain Brit does not understand anything.

The issue is high skilled immigrants versus no skilled immigrants.

Do we want no skill immigrants or high skilled immigrants?

Obviously the answer that No Brain Brit did not get is that the USA wants high skilled immigrants.

Now the U.S.A. only takes immigrants based on family relationships, not skill or education.

Of course that is the manner in which No Brain Brit got his green card.

    Canada is smart.

America needs to do the same!

No more illiterate, uneducated illegals from the wastelands to our south.

That DevilDoll is as dim as a 15w lightbulb. The 2007 CIR Bill would have done what he/she wanted but no they wouldn't pass it. For the first time since the original 1952 INA it sought to change the emphases from family-based immigration to employment-based. Duh!

Lie, the CIR would have continued and expanded family based immigration.
