Thread: Asylum district change

I had my asylum application referred to an immigration judge. I had my files done in California, then I moved to NY. Do I have to move my files to with my address change or I can still work on it in the California district (San Francisco)? I would like to keep them there becouse INS is famous in misplacing files when transferring them. Any suggestions? Thanks

I would say , not to transferr.
And I'd like to ask you, did you get the result from your case in time ? Was there a delay in giving you the referral to the immigration judge ? Thanks and good luck
