Thread: I-212c wiaver

  1. #1
In 1985 convicted of felony DUI, sentenced and served 11+ months in jail.

I eventually got my green card in 2001 through my spouse.

Everything was going well for me until my spouse filled for divorce in 2005.
So in 2005, I was arrested again for DUI and was given 1 year probation.

I wanted to file to Naturalization, but I was advice by a lawyer not to do it as I will be placed
on deportation because of the DUIs.

After so much research into what I can do, I came across 212-c waiver.

Can I file a 212-c to waive all these crimes. What are the options I have to get naturalized.

Someone please help. Desperate. I have turned my life around.

    Hope -- a 212c is a waiver for immigrant/nonimmigrant visas -- you already have a green card.
