Thread: U.S. Government Files Suit in Court to Stop Alabama’s Immigration Law

  1. #1
The Department of Justice challenged the state of Alabama’s recently passed immigration law, H.B. 56, in federal court.

In a complaint and brief filed in the Northern District of Alabama, the department said that various provisions of H.B. 56 conflict with federal immigration law and undermine the federal government’s careful balance of immigration enforcement priorities and objectives. The brief filed today makes clear that, while the federal government values state assistance and cooperation with respect to immigration enforcement, a state cannot set its own immigration policy, much less pass laws that conflict with federal enforcement of the immigration laws.

There is tons of money to be made and undocumented aliens are the single most valuable boost to private prison stockholders.

When government privatized prisons it must have foreseen that when you let someone run a jailhouse for profit it is just more revenue when more people get locked up.

Set of federal priorities run contrary to interests of those stockholders who get their share of $120 per day in direct State subsidies for each inmate in their facilities.

that's why they are ready to run over anyone who advocates any sensible reform or enforcement of immigration law. I bet they would be just as upset if illegals were expeditiously removed without a day in jail or just walked out of US in exodus.

They only make money if the aliens refuse to depart voluntarily. Every illegal alien in custody choses to be there. The quick way out is to agree to leave.

Actually it is racist groups like La Raza and immigration attorneys who fill the jails.

I don't give a c.rap if racist is white, black or south American. Racist is a racist and all racists collectively help each other by inciting hatred and creating division within.

Immigration Attorneys are not going to make too much money out of detention of immigrants, because most of those detained are not able to afford legal counsel.
Nor do I think La Raza will particularly benefit from it.

But if you own stocks in private prison then you sure must be rubbing your hands together with the glee , seeing each undocumented alien as your bag of money that grows every single day of detention by $120.
