    hi all,

i filed n400 a year ago, changed my address a couple months later.didnt get at fp notice so i went to nyc office with using info-pass. i was told by officer that texas is sitting on my case and that they should transfer my case at the time they got my change of address notice. now i have to wait 3months or more for them to request a transfer. is there anything i can do to make texas work faster seeing they already mesed me upa whole year.

You filed your application in New York. You changed your address to Texas after a couple of months. When you transferred you fell behind the queue, of course, because Texas treated your application at the time of their receipt not according to New York's original receipt date. Your time line is just about right. Your change of address caused this, not that any office sits on your application. There are thousands upon thousands of pending naturalization applications nationwide. Think about the exodus of filings before July 30 last year, and what some cynics perceive as a political maneuver to bottleneck possible new voters this November who would largely vote Democratic.

no filed at texas and i moved after 8 months and within that time i havent gotten fp notice. nyc is willing to work on my case but texas is holding up cause they havent transfer my case. nyc office is requesting them to do so now, i wonder how long that will take?.

Just reverse the two states then, but my thoughts would be the same.

Now is time to contact local congressman office to help move this transfer along.
