Thread: I485 issues

  1. #1
My mom and sister had their I485 interview based on my dad's petition through my USC grandfather.

Online they changed my sister's status from request of evidence review to card production. The status said on Sept 2, 2010 your card was ordered for productions. Then today, it says on Sept 9, 2010 your card was ordered for production. I am wondering if they ordered it on 9/2 then why would they re-order it on 9/9. I am a bit confused about it and it doesnt make sense. anyone have dealth with the validity of online case status?

my mothers case was a bit complited during the interview. her passport was reported lost/stolen in the 90's and during that time someone used that passport to get into the US illegally and were caught. this was news to us. my mom was in the US at the time, etc. The officer who interviewed my mom knows my mom didnt try to cross my mom's fingerprints came back clean, etc, but still her case status hasnt changed. she approved the case and gave the welome to the US bookle and everything. but she said she will just have to get her supervisor to look over it. i am just wondering why her case status hasnt changed and what can we do to move this along faster. its frustrating.

Sit back, relax, wait for their cards in the mail, and rejoice over the approvals. Hey, who cares about what the online status says? Shouldn't be you. That one piece of technological advancement (case status online) isn't legally binding and in many instances inaccurate.
