My wife's case was emailed by NVC to the U.S. Consulate in Santo Domingo on Dec 12th. I called there today and they claim they still do not have it. I called the NVC and they instructed me to request a fax from the Consulate stating they still do not have it. I called the Consulate again and they stated they do not send out nay faxes or emails. Any advice or Ideas or similar experiences?

Mr. X, I did my consular processing in the DR, although my situation is slightly different (Employment based GC instead of Family based), I can give you some points based on my experience. When the NVC transferred my case to Santo Domingo, they did so using diplomatic pouch (DHL carrier) it took one week
To get to the consulate but it also took an extra week for them to open it and keyed into the system. So when I called the consulate to check in the after a week passed since the NVC sent the package, they said that they haven'r received anything and told me to call after three weeks, but I called the week after and luckily the info was in the system, just bear in mind that they might have the package already and haven't opened yet. They scheduled my interview in about two months after the enter my information into the system.
Hope this info will help you somehow.
