I am on a part time H1-B1 visa.

    1. Can I work part time for another company?
    2. Can I start my own small business here - not related to my profession? Register my own company and have my wife work for it?
    3. Can I work as a freelancer in the area of my own expertise?
    4. My company is willing to apply for my GC. Will my part time visa be a problem for GC or it does not matter?
    5. Also, shall I first get it converted to a full time visa or go ahead with GC process?
    6. Is this the right time to apply for GC or wait for some time till things get better?
    7. Are things going to get better with Dept of Homeland Security
