Thread: Immigrant gets $100K settlement

  1. #1
CINCINNATI — An undocumented immigrant worker who sued Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones for violating his constitutional rights has been awarded $100,000 in a settlement agreement.

The settlement filed in U.S. District Court stems from the 2007 arrest of Luis Rodriguez, 44, formerly of Lebanon, when he and others were rounded by at a Port Union Road construction site by Butler County deputies.

In my opinion - this is one of the reasons that makes America such a great country.

This calls for a little Beethoven "happy music"!

Interesting. Well timed. I hope AZ Gov. Jan Brewer reads this before tomorrow.

Living in poverty in Mexico, and likely to remain so since his attorney will take most of that 100K. In any event it was a settlement, just more attorneys extorting money from municipalities. I bet Brit won't be so happy when he finds out his local taxes are going up because of shysterism like this. But in the end an illegal was deported, so all is good and right with the world, except for shysters who should be in that bus going over a cliff.
