  • Mom needs a B1/B2 visa - F1 student

Does anyone know a quick route to my mom getting a visitors viss to come here for like 3 months - to take care of a sick grandchild - who is under medical treatment here - and which MUST be given here ?

Yes, the U.S. Consulates do issue B2 visas for medical reasons. You will need to provide your mom with doctor's letters stating the condition of the grandchild and a letter from you indicating why you need her here. Perhaps you are working and cannot afford time out. You can have your work issue a letter confirming full time employment.

Your mom may be denied B visa if she specifies the reason as the care for the family member. It may be considered an employment. She'll have better chances if indicated that she wants just to visit (and not to provide care to) a sick person. Employment letter and the note from physician may be useful, but should not be volunteered at the interview if not asked for.
