  • From `Change of Status` Notice to Visa

    I have 3 questions.

I received my `change of status` notice last March. I was on a F-1 visa and am now on my I-visa (I`m a journalist).
When I leave the US I have to go to the consulate to receive an actual Visa.

    1) Do I have to schedule an interview or can I use the `Mail In` or `Drop Box`?
    2) Do I send my Form I-797 or just a copy of it?
    3) Do I need to mail work contract, ect. again and if so does it need to be an original?

Thank you so much for you help.

You'll be best served by seeking answers to these questions directly from US Consulate where you plan to apply for visa.
