  • How Long Is Gonna Take?

Please let us know how long does it take the whole process of becoming USCs - from the moment you file the application, to receiving notice to go and get fingerprinted to the actual interview. Then, what's the timeframe for actually getting the citizenship diploma in your hands...couple living in NYC. Thanks for your response.

It doesn't take longer than one year in all ... although New York is pretty weird and you never know ... many immigrants there, you know ... all colors and shapes of them ...

Actually in NYC it takes anywhere from one year and a half (at the very least) up to two years plus to actually go to the green card interview. As far as Naturalization cases are concerned, it usually takes 12 - 15 months from the point in time you file until you swear in. New York is a pain in the a s s, basically.
