  • H1B prevailing wage

    Hi,

A company is willing to sponsor me. They made me an offer of $45K. We received the prevailing wage and it shows $48,700. (a little <95%)
Would it be a problem when filing the LCA?
Which other sources for prevailing wage comply with the DOL? (i.e Wall Street Journal?)
    Thanks

Yes, it will be a problem when filing the LCA if you do not meet at least 95% of the prevailing wage. You can request a wage determination from the State employment agency or use approved alternate sources, such as the Economic Research Institute.

Please let me know if you would like to discuss alternative strategies. info@myronmorales.com

        Thanks

I wanted to know if the "2001 National Occupational Employment and Wage Estimates" from de DOL website is a valid source ('cause data is not within last 24 months).
And if so does it fall in the "SESA" box (on the LCA) or in the "Other" option.

        thanks
