HOW LONG IS IT TAKIKNG FOR PROCESSING N400 AT VERMONT?

It depends more on where Vermont sends the file (your local BCIS office), than the Service Center. District offices send a processing report to Congressional offices, NGO's, and sometimes even to the toll free customer service office, but they have trouble reading it. Call and get the processing date for your local office. The date they give you is the average date of cases that went to the initial interview.

Remember that it is an average date. Any individual case may go through faster or slower. It may take longer in security/background checks or have a request for additional information. The type of naturalization matters too. Military cases, although "expedited", often take longer because they require action from the Department of Defense.

WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU ARE DIVORCED AT THE TIME OF THE NATURALIZATION INTERVIEW, AND YOU APPLIED UNDER THE 3 YEAR RESIDENCE BASED ON MARRIAGE TO USC?

Naturalization will be denied if the basis of the application (marriage to a USC) is annexed.
