Fingerprint appointment on 1/17 but office closed

My wife had fingerpoint appointment today (1/17) for her I-485 and when we got there, the application support center (in San Jose, CA) was closed (they posted a paper saying it is due to Monday's MLK holiday)!!

Quite a few people showed up...

Any comment on this or concern that we should be aware of (not giving FP on the specified date)?

I was there in SJ with you. They open on Tuesday so I wouldn't worry about anything.

As it says in your notice from the INS, you have to show up within two weeks to get your fingerprints taken.

Simple mistake. It's not commonly known that the ASC's are usually closed on the Saturday before when the holiday falls on a Monday. Just go in within that two week period. I would suggest you don't go on Tuesday because everyone else that showed up for their Saturday appt. will do the same and THAT in addition to the people ALREADY scheduled for Tuesday means a huge line. Try going on that Wednesday or Thursday.

Ted: Just out of curiosity, where on the FP notice does it say "two weeks" to get the FP taken?

I read the notice again and it only says "appear on the date and time specified..."
