  • Advanced Parole Document

I'm planning to go out of the country soon and would like to know how I use my Advance Parole Document. Do I just bring the paper as an attachment to my passport or do I need to do something more? I'm not sure how it works. Has anyone here used it before?
    Thank you.

Take all the proof of status that you have with you.

      - Valid Passport
      - Advanced Parole Document
      - Adjustment of Status Document (or whatever proof of status you have).

Give this stuff to the US immigration officer when you return to the US and you should be fine.

By the way, I also carry copies of all my other important INS information with me whenever I travel. The way I look at it, if they want me to prove anything at the border, I have it all with me.

Just make sure your Advanced PArole document is valid (ie: has not espired).
