I post my question earlier, but have not received any answer yet. My question is my brother have an old AOS since 1998 that goes nowhere. Can he write a letter to INS to cancel this pending case and resubmit a new package. My suspiscion is INS lost his original file and give him a run around with more fingerprinting and wait and more fingerprinting. Neither attorney nor congressman could get a straight answer from INS. Your input is greatly appreciative.

      mailise:

How did you brother file for AOS on what grounds? I have a friend his parents file for him in 2000, he went for interview even, and since then on action.

Do you have all the paper work that your brother file AOS in 1998.You must have received a Notice of Action, then you have received letters for fingerprints, how many times?
If you have all the papers from INS/BCIS to proof. Then you need not to cancel this AOS. keep posted.
