fingerprints / EAD

I received a letter for fingerprints iin the INS office (2 months after I applied for Adjustment of Status), but I still haven't gotten my WORK PERMIT. Are they going to issue me one the same day I am fingerprinted. Somebody said that happened to them. Other stories/ opinions?

There is no clear policy or trend along these 2,FP and EAD.Assuming the EAD is approved and after you have tracked it in the INS service center where you belong,the card normally arrives after few weeks.

This is weird...normally you get your EAD first and then several months later you are required to appear for your fingerprints to be taken...
