  • Need Expert advice! Please help any idea? What should I do beside waiting?

I'm from NY and I am a US Born Citizen and with good background history. I was never marry and divoce I'm 25. Currently, I'm working in China.

My case Application Type: I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, MY WIFE

How do INS check my background? How long will they take now? up to 999 days right? I'm still waiting 4 packet 2 can u believe that!!!

When I check my status on the web it alway shows the same message does anyone know how many days does BCIS staff takes to update them? I call so many times to the BCIS Customer Service number to request my status and waited so long and always tell me to wait which still in process and I should receive a decision soon LIAR!!! The VERMONT SERVICE CENTER's update show process up to November already. ****

WHAT CAN I DO TO ASK FOR HELP?
They already took 1 year and still no approval for me so anxious. Do you know why? I am thinking of applying of I-129F should I?
I had already wrote a letter to my local district house of Representative about 3 times and called more than 5 times request assistence. No response!

Recently, I found out from the news that some of the US Army soldiers secretly married people from Iraq and went back to the US with their wife. They do not have to do any background check? don't have to file for an visa? NOT FAIR!! How can this be.
I'm sure from the news that they are Iraq citizen.

My Current Status which i filed in the VSC:

Your I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN was received on September 4, 2002. We mailed you a receipt with information about processing. It is taking between 210 and 999 days for us to process this kind of case. We will mail you a decision as soon as processing is complete.

Thank you in advance for anyone who reply my message.
Good luck to all of you and have a nice day.

Why not apply for K3 visa for wife? She can come to usa while awaiting approval of the 130. This would require you to file the 129f with the chicago service center. The processing time is supposed to take 6 to 12 months. Luck to ya...

The K-3 is an excellent idea. If you work in China, I'll assume that she is also in China. If she were living in U.S., then there would be another option.

            Hi:
I my friend can sympatise. I too have had the unfortunate experience of dealing with vermont. They are slow, incompetent and as you rightly said-LIARS! Hope things work out for:-)
