Obama made the most offensive remark ever uttered by a President. The insensitivity of this man is appalling. Can you imagine the reaction of the liberal media if Bush or Palin had said anuything like this?

I have to say he slipped on this one. I'm sure he meant no disrespect to Special Olympics. This is minor. We have other, more pressing issues to deal with.

Why is it that you liberals POUNCE on any statement taken out of context by a Republican (ie. Nixon "If a President does it that means its legal") and ignore everything Obama says regardless of how much it shows that he is an evil nasty socialist muslim?

Hitler also hated people with disabilities and sent them off to the gas chambers. I am sure apolgists like you would just write that off as well !!

You need to pay attention!!! I'm not a liberal, but there are more important things to worry about than a slip of the tongue by Obama. Our country is sliding into a sinkhole. I am pretty sure your million dollar home isn't worth a million anymore. This crisis is affecting everyone. The conditions of the USA are worse than I can remember.

So, if you want to focus on Obama tripping on his words, fine. I will hold him accountable for things that really matter.

Amazing that with the amount of gaffe's and slips Bush made...did you ever hear SoM, a9 etc say anything about that?

I cannot begin to tell you how disappointed I am in Obama. "out of the heart's abundance, the mouth speaks"

Most of the events in this past 2 weeks indicate that this guy is without a clue to not recognize that the people advising him do not have a clue and/or dishonest and do not have the american taxpayer best interest at heart.

I knew Obama would end up sinking himself sooner or later because of his mouth. This guy needs a public relations class to know when to speak and when not to speak. A legal class to know what to not say to offend or open one's self up to a lawsuit.

I now know that he is an A$$hole in addition to being a puppet. He thinks of himself as a comedian, and has yet to think of all those children that he may have damaged and hurt.
Just to get a laugh, which there were not many from the audience.

He is the kind of A$$hole that tells ethnic jokes about himself or lets people around him tell them and he laughs at them. I just watched a town hall meeting where he was making an analogy to AIG to a person with a bomb strapped around them holding a trigger, the nancy reagan disrepect, and so many more inappropriate analogies that are just not befitting a president.

I have little to no respect for the man these days and he is not any different than what is typical in the congressional arena that he came from. He choose Geitner in a GWB type of way of insisting that this had to be the man for the job no matter what. Tim has always been a screw up in the past and always gotten a promotion. It is not surprising to many that he is screwing up here, because he cannot handle the job for lack of understanding how to accomplish the taks, and for taking care of his buddies from the past.(misplaced loyalties) Obama has come to his defense and says "geithner is doing a great job" and defends him. What an A$$hole.

There are no excuses for his behaviour.

No excuses, but I still think his crack at Special Olympics was a total slip of the tongue. Perhaps his teleprompter had a power hit??? LOL! But the other things you've mentioned have been very disappointing, 4sure.

Because it was on Leno and anything goes. His mistake for going on in the first place. He's the president, not a comedian. He's been in office for two months and a slot on the Leno show should have been a no-no. He's not polished enough.

Maybe he did it on purpose to ruffle the feathers. I mean didn't Palin come out with her stupid face like immediately thereafter? Isn't that a great way to have the conservatives show up and spout.

I personally think no matter how much one try's to declare a handicaped normal, they are not. They are incapacitated and hence, in accordance with eihter their physical or mental abilities are below the norm and I will never except them as normal.

It was in really bad taste for him to compare his bowling skills to those of Special Olympics. I'm sure he didn't rehearse that response. Special Olympics is a highly reputable cause and one I have always supported. No, they are not like you and I, but they are human beings who deserve our charity. Thank God for all of us who were blessed with normal children and for those less fortunate, we should sing their praise rather than poke fun.

I was signing the receipt for my credit card purchase when the clerk noticed I had never signed my name on the back of the credit card. She informed me that she could not complete the transaction unless! the card was signed. When I asked why, she explained that it was necessary to compare the signature I had just signed on the receipt. So I signed the credit card in front of her. She carefully compared the signature to the one I had just signed on the receipt. As luck would have it, they matched.

I was at the airport, checking in at the gate when an airport employee asked, "Has anyone put anything in your baggage without your knowledge?" To which I replied, "If it was without my knowledge, how would I know?" She smiled knowingly and nodded, "That's why we ask."

The stoplight on the corner buzzes when it's safe to cross the street. I was crossing with a coworker of mine when she asked if I knew what the buzzer was for. I explained that it signals blind people when the light is red. Appalled, she responded, "What on earth are blind people doing driving?"

When my wife and I arrived at an automobile dealership to pick up our car, we were told the keys had been locked in it. We went to the service department and found a mechanic working feverishly to unlock the driver's side door. As I watched from the passenger side, I instinctively tried the door handle and discovered that it was unlocked. "Hey," I announced to the technician, "it's open!" To which he replied, "I know - I already got that side." </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
