  • I-797c notice to replace lost US Citizenship certificate.

    Hello,

First timer here, I have a question in regards the receipt I-797c. Can I use this form to show the Social security office, or potential new employer that I am in the works to replace a lost Naturalization certificate?

I have a job offer on which I don't want to let go because of my lost papers, and I am seeking for answers to my concern.

Any information will be greatly appreciated.

All you can do is try, but remember that is just a receipt from USCIS. Do you have your SS card or US Passport? Those are documents that your new employer can use to prove your employment status in the US.

No, you cannot. The I797C is not acceptable as evidence. It is only a receipt. It is not an adjudication.
