The first thing to find out would be if you are eligible for an appropriate visa to move to Brazil, and if so how you go about getting one.

I would start with the Embassy web site.

Sounds like you are good to go then.
Probably something to start sooner than later, these things can take time.

when he appears in court for his hearing, you will get all the information you need then. As for now try getting a visa to Brazil just in case the goverment moves fast in sending him back.

Why is he being held if I may ask?

Good luck to you and yours!

Heartbroken, I don't know if you have looked into this or not, or whether it applies to you or not, but if you are planning on taking your children with you to Brazil..and I believe your ex husband is a USC? Be sure that you check whether you are allowed to take them out of the US or have to have permission by their father to do so.

Again I am not sure of your circumstances but wanted to point that out if it applies to you.

I met women in the shelter who had abusive, drugged or even convicted husbands (even without custody rights), yet they were still not allowed to move far from the area or out of State with their children. Now leaving the country is another issue..often they need to see permission from the father that he allows it.

Again..it will depend I guess on what the arrangement was..and whether he would contest in letting them leave the country whether for a visit or immigrate.

Best to find out facts first before booking those tickets and ordering visas.

In most countries, if the children are under 16, you need to provide consent from the remaining parent as part of the immigration process.

okayyy...everyone, thank u...the deal is that i have sole custody of our girls..sole, and physical. also, i would definitely get consent anyways....from him...also, i dont plan on just uprooting them and renting a "Trailer" over in brazil(S12)...i would just bring them for a visit, first..and check out the whole scene. Ive got a tad bit common sense...contrary to public belief..

"a tad bit of common sense?" Really? By marrying some douchebag illegal who has already shown total disdain for our laws and failed to meet his obligations by paying child support, working without permission, and likely with a stolen ID? For this, you claim you have 'a tad of common sense?' You haven't got the brains of a manatee. Anyone, especially trailer dwellers, who "fall in love" with some douchebag illegal is clearly desperate for 'love', likely missed the high school prom (too ugly to even think about getting a date) and whose IQ would prevent you from ever joining Mensa.

Im very impressed with your acute observation of myself. Surely ,YOU must be of the Mensa Society! I feel so honored to receive resourceful, yet crafty attention and opinion! I'm assuming the Mensa Society members(like yourself) are so intelligent, that they don't even need to possess knowledge of the True facts in a case, before presenting their shrewd and astute data! After all, who needs Factual information...its not like this forum is taking place in the Superior Court...right? Just make small brained comments, stereotype, sarcastically insult people, and pretend to know everything! If your happy, Im happy. Techau.

There are no schedules for removals. Such actions are at the needs of the service, e.g. when most convinient for them. You might get a few days warning because they will schedule a flight. If he needs to be escorted back, there will be more lead time, but usually no one is told, because those who need to be escorted are dangerous or are routed through third countries. If he gets VD, then you schedule the departure by the day ordered by the judge, so you make your own arrangements. I am sure you will enjoy Brazil and the many girlfriends or wives he has there.
