  • N-600 for lpr over 18 years old

I have a client who was born in Mexico in 1982. His Mother is a USC by birth but only lived in the U.S. until she was 8 years old. My client is 30 years old and is a LPR, immigrated as IR of USC Mother when he was a child. Client wants to apply for citizenship (N-600) in lieu of naturalization (N-400). N-600 relates to a 'child' not an adult. Can my client files N-600 claiming U.S. Citizen by his Mother was was married to a non citizen Father.
