  • H4 visa holders and microstocks

    Hi,

This fall, we're going to move to the USA, Texas. I will have a H4 visa, which does not allow to work in the United States.

Now I work with microstock Shutterstock, which is an American company. I create vector images on my computer and upload them to Shutterstock site. Shutterstock has the right to sell license for using this images . All rights to these images remain with me.

Shutterstock pays me a royalty for each unique download of any of my works for which Shutterstock receives payment.

Please tell me if I can continue to work with Shutterstock, after a move to the United States?

    Thank you in advance.

You would need to apply for EAD (employment authorization document) in order to work. This is the regulations that one must follow on H4 whether the place they would like to work at is a local company that they usd to work back int heir home country, or not. Good luck!
Ability may get you to the top, but it takes character to keep you there.
