              thank you, thank you, this means more than anything, espcecially because of my Dad who is dying of cancer, and i really want to be there for him, i already lost my mom...:-(( can't wait to be there and just hug him!!

                  a quick question: how long can I stay out the States with my temporarly greencard and not get in trouble, i just want to spend as much time with Dad as I possibly can. thank you.

                    Take a look at the link above. It says you can travel out of the country for up to a year, but after a year, you need a re-entry permit.

                      THANK YOU, PROUDUSC, i guess I will get a temporary card before the permanent, right, am I just as safe to travel with the temporary, though?
