  • Can anyone help

I received a letter I181 from DHS stating that:
"Your application for permanent resident status is being processed. If approved, a permanent resident card will be mailed directly to you from our Immigration card facility."

Can anyone tell me what does that mean.
Am I going to get the card soon or application is still pending?
    Thanks

USCIS letters are generic. So if a case (like yours) is out of ordinary, it is difficult to say what they realy mean.

However, I think it is a positive sign. The security check made its way into your file, and when the IO reviews it (and see previous approval pending check), it is more than likely that he/she will order a card for you.

        Thanks aneri,
Few minutes ago an Immigration officer also called that he is going to approve the case and the card will come from Dallas card facility.
I am hoping it shouldn't take more than couple of weeks? What do you think, I don't know that much about Texas.
