  • Immigration visa interview

my frend is a US citizen now. She helps her parents apply immigration visa and had interview last week. The US consular officer requested more inforation about her Green Card.
She had been granted asylum in the US 10 years ago and she didn't has any thing with her. Do you know what kind of documents she should provid and where to get it?

She should provide anything and everything requested by the Consular Officer.

It appears that her mother contradicted the method and manner that her daughter obtained residency. Therefore the Consular Officer thinks that either the relationship is fraudulent, e.g. they are not mother and daughter, or that the daughter obtained residency fraudulently, therefore the mother would be inelligible for asylum, residency, and citizenship.

          Thanks you very much!
My frend doesn't have any record about her green card application. Should she use G639 and contact USCIS FOIA/PA office to get her old file (10 years ago) then she can show US consular she has been granted through asylum?

            Yes, either FOIA or G639.
