  • Dual citizenship versus PIO

    Hi All,

One of my friends (a colleague) just took up U.S. citizenship. He is of Indian origin. Should he take the PIO card or should he wait for dual citizenship? He would like to travel to India soon, but was not sure if enough progress has been made on the issue of dual citizenship.

    Thank you for your advice.

Actually, after further research on the matter.......Our US Government DOES indeed recognize Dual Nationality. However, as a matter of policy, the US does not endorse it because of the conflict of interest it may cause.
