  • H1 and family based sponsorship

My mother is US citizen. I am currently doing MBA in US, graduating next year. My mother likes to file me for my greencard as soon as possible. After my graduation, I will have OPT and I have to apply for H1 visa.

Here, my mother will be filing for my greencard (of course, it takes 6 year for processing) and I will be applying to H1 too. Do you think it will be right think to do?

I do not know it is right thing since I am applying for H1 while my mother is applying for my greencard sponsorship. Sounds like, too things at once. Does one processing affect another? I like some input here.

I believe what you are planning is allowed under the law.
