  • Please Help! We are just fustrated at this point

I posted before on the site in March and things have not changed much. We still have the same issue. We went into the office for an interview and were told to send in some documents to fulfill the requirements the officer who interviewed us told us that it should take no longer than 60 days to hear from him. However that's been over one and a half year. I know they had the date on the website that they were processing so they did not have to answer you back before that date however our date has passed already. We applied for a green card in June of 2001 our interview date was June 2003 and at this point we have not heard anything. We have send the officer a number of letters at first we thought he did not work there any longer which is not the case we found out we ever sent letters to his manager no response we have placed a number of inquries and depends on what day you call they say they don't have any inquery on record or the number of inquries youhave to place before you can speak to someone that has more access to your case than the ability to just place an inquery keeps changing. Is there any way for us to find out what's going on is this guy just messing with us and not processing our case or what we are just at a loss at this point no one has an answer not even a lawyer

What I would suggest at this point, is to talk to your congressman. They are very good when it comes to cases like yours.
      Good luck!

yeah do what Kalla suggested and another thing ... u might want to visit ur local office and take visitor pass to talk to Immigration officer ... they might track your petition down and tell whats going on.... there is nothing wrong in giving it a try...who knows it might actually work...good luck...

          nycbrooklyn,

Sorry but if you called and someone gave you information you must have been calling the 1-800 number. These are contractors hired by CIS who do not work in the office you want information from. They can't tell you anything about your case. I'm sorry the officer said that they would get back to you in 60 days. That is almost impossible and depends on what your case was pending for. You can try to come into the office and make sure that your case is on track with an information officer, but beyond that there isn't much that they can tell you.
