I need your Advice : Uninspected Alien married to US Citizn

I entered to US uninspected on April 2001,Then I got married to a US citizen in 2004 but I did not filed any papers to USCIS. I heard many stories about my case from various people, most of them said that I can't be a lawful resident in the US because I was uninspected. I can't go back to my home country becasue there is a civil war is going on there for more than 20 years.My houses is also distroyed due to Tsunami in 2004.My question is if I file for Legal Status based on my marriage , will I be denied it ? I really appreciate your answer.

yes, denied. seems a bad case. talk to an immigration attorney.
