    LINGUINI WITH RED CLAM SAUCE

    4 tbsp. olive oil
    3-4 cloves garlic, minced
    2 cans minced clams
    1 sm. onion, chopped
    2 lg. cans stewed tomatoes
    1 lb. linguini
    1/2 c. red wine
    Spices to include garlic powder, basil, oregano, parsley, crushed red pepper

    Saute garlic and onion in olive oil, add can tomatoes and wine, then add spices. I never measure, just add to taste. I am sure I put in at least a teaspoon of each if not more. Stir well and simmer for at least 30 minutes, more is preferred. Cook linguini in boiling salted water. Drain and mix sauce. Enjoy!
