  • birth ceritificate for AOS

Hello, I am preparing documents for wife's green card. One of required documents were a copy of birth certificate. Since I am a naturalized USC, I was gonna provide Certificate of Naturalization instead. Unfortunately I couldn't find it.

Since this birth certificate is a proof of my citizenship, is it acceptable to send a copy of my US passport? Replacing Naturalization certification costs too much $$ and time at the moment. Thanks.

You have to get a replacement Naturalization Certificate.

        thanks for your input.

Is this naturalization certificate for other foams than I-130? When I read through I-130 instruction, US passport should be acceptable as a proof for USC.

I am just wondering if there are other foam I might have missed out that requires only naturalization certificate or birth certificate. Thanks.

Best thing to do is get a replacement for your lost naturalization certificate.
