    My friend's dad is a Citizen and petition his unmarried son over 21 who lives in the United States on Feb of 1992. Can the unmarried son apply for I-485 and I-765? He is from Mexico.

      I think your friend qualifies under the 245(i) adjustment of status law.

      A person with a labor certification or a visa petition filed on their behalf on or before January 14, 1998 is qualified for the benefits of §245(i).

      Under this law, your friend can file an I-485 and an I-485A with an extra $1000 fine, but is able to file all the same and an I-765. Contact me if you want help, I've done these before.

        Thank you however my question is can he now apply for these applications? And also Is an immigrant visa available? I look at the visa bulletin and don't understand it.

          yes, he can apply to adjust status

          immigrant visa number is available to those sons/daughters of USC, from Mexico, who were petitioned on or before 08 Sept 92
