    I submitted a check list with my immgration application forms in August of last year, and according to the recorded message on the INS phone system - 603-334-0700, i would have a response in 6 to 8 weeks. however it's been 8 months and each time i get the same message when i call, and there's no option to speak to an officer. Is there any other way i can find out the satus of my case? pls help

      Did You apply to your local district office or service center?

        I mailed the entire package to the INS offices in Portsmouth. Should I have used a district office instead?
