  • H1B through a liquor store

    Hi guys;
    My friend is currently on a student visa and is currently in the OPT period. The current market situation is bad and he's not able to get a job. A liquor store owner has agreed to sponsor his H1b and so my friend is going to work in that liquor store. Will that liquor store owner be able to file H1B for a student who has done MS in electrical and computer engineering?

        I'm trying to think of a single position that would qualify for an H1B visa at a liquor store!

        Granted, the Germans do beer better...

          Not a hope in hell. Not even 90% First problem, he's not qualified in that field and secondly, it's a job any USC could do.

                the OP and his/her ethically challenged immigration attorney will make up some phony title to disguise the fact that this dirtbag will just be a toilet cleaner or floor sweeper...this is why we need H1b reform...stop hiring lowlifes like this into phony make-work jobs....hire Americans, not visa cheats.
