  • Immigration Law Question: I 485 approval in risk - Need advise on travel

I worked for Company X that got into trouble with Iowa immigration laws in 2007. I invoked AC 21 at that time and transferred to Company Y. My priority date is current now and processing center is Iowa. Is there a chance that my GC will be denied? If yes, can I appeal for reconsideration?
My wife is currently in India. Can she return to the US during the appealing time in case GC is denied and I appeal for reconsideration?

Thanks in advance for your time and help

I am glad you changed your OP Title to include "Immigration law Question." As for your situation, your I-140 petition was transfered from one company to another company. I am assuming you have the same job that is qualifying you for the EB1, EB2 or EB3 criteria. Am I correct?

Yes, same job and status. My 140 is approved. Right now 485 is under review since priority date is current.

Yes, a good chance. But you can appeal.
