I have heard that asylees traveling abroad on the U.S. Refugee Travel Documents are being readmitted with an expiration date on their new I-94.
A couple of months ago, I read a document from the INS stating that any asylee legally traveling abroad must be readmitted back to his / her previous status [asylum is for indefinite].
Does anyone know anything about these conflicting instructions? What happens when the new I-94 expires? Does the recipient applies again for asylum?
Please help.
