  • What should I do

I came to US throught Mexican borders and stay here since 1988.
My parent make a petition for me on 1994 I'm in F2B category.
Now I received a letter asking me to go to an office on INS in order to continue with the process.

Should I be afraid of deportation? I never commit any crime nor offese.

I was told by the NVC service that I should wait until my priority date become current before going to INS in order for them to process faster my case and that I will be charge with a US1,000.00 charge and that's it.

    Is this correct??
    Please help.

Did you enter the country illegally or did you overstay your visa, if so, which one and for how long?

I am not a lawyer, so please doublecheck any information given by my or anyone else for that matter with a certified lawyer before you take any further action.

I'm afraid I won't be able to give you a satisfactory answer.

Have you spoken to a lawyer yet?

I think you may use the previsions on the 245i since your petition was submitted before 1998.

              Check the following information:
              http://www.ins.usdoj.gov/graphics/howdoi/hdi245i.htm

              Can anyone confirm that...
