  • What are some of the more popular reasons for a delay in processing a I129f?

I am a USC...she is a Canadian citizen by birth. Sent the I129f in June 18, 2003. Changed MY Address in October and promptly notified the Texas Center where my application is being processed for what is now its 185th day. I know it's only 5 days over due...but can anyone tell me if this is common or should I start looking for a lawyer???

There has been an explosion of app's for K visas, all the processing times from all of the centers have backlogged.. Did you call in your address change to customer service as well as mail in your address change to the right center with the official form ? also i would follow up with them via phone to ensure they have the correct address in their system... and also continue to check on line. dont panic ur far too early in the game to get a lawyer... canadians rarely have a hard time getting a K visa issue unless there is a criminal issue or overstay or medical issue that might trigger a 601... good luck but stay on top of them re: address change...
